Trash Pickup Holiday Schedule

If the following Holidays fall on a week day(Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs or Fri) then pick up will be on Saturday.

Please refrain from disposing products labeled as "flushable" down the toilet. These products include "flushable wipes". Packaging must include the term "biodegradable" for it to qualify as a flushable product. Other products cause frequent additional maintenance on our sewer system.

ALL GARBAGE must be bagged and tagged with a Village of Jordan pink garbage sticker.  Clear bags are preferable.  Garbage placed within cans/containers must also be bagged and tagged.  Residents are allowed to use bags up to 30 gallons and cannot exceed 30 pounds. One sticker must be securely attached to each bag, regardless of bag size. We recommend wrapping the sticker around the bag handles to avoid stickers from being removed or falling off during the colder months.

GARBAGE STICKERS ($2 each) are available for purchase at the Village of Jordan office Monday thru Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm or at TOPS Markets in Elbridge at their customer service office from 8 am to 8 pm.

ALL RECYCLABLES should be placed loose in blue bins provided by OCRRA.  Recyclables should NOT be placed in plastic bags because if in plastic bags they will end up directly in the trash.  Blue bins may be obtained from the village office free of charge, as well as a complete list of items OCRRA accepts for recycling.  There is no additional charge for recycling pick up.  For more information on OCRRA’s  recycling program, please visit “https://ocrra.org/services/recycle/.” 

 Superior Waste Removal Inc. will be NEW trash haulers as of June 2021. 

• Please have your recycling bins and stickered bags out the night before or EARLY in the morning.    
• Weekly collection will begin about 6:00 am and they should be out of the village by 9:00 am..
• Collection will remain on Friday mornings unless a holiday occurs during the work week, then it moves to Saturday morning. .
• Black bags are now allowed for trash.  ALL bags MUST be stickered. Any un-stickered bag will NOT be collected.
• Please be considerate of our haulers; very heavy trash bags will not be collected.
• Also, put a lid on the can to keep the rain/snow out.

BASE RATES ARE:

Village Sewer base rate $100.00 plus if over 5,000 gallons $0.55 per 100 gallons

Village Water base rate $30.00 plus if over 5,000 gallons $0.18 per 100 gallons

Outside Water base rate $47.00 plus if over 5,000 gallons $0.35 per 100 gallons

LT2 rates will not be affected and remains at $6.50 per quarter with all usage at $0.04 per hundred gallons.
